DEFINING luxury
The adventure begins with a view of Sacrécoeur and the Place de la Concorde - those who plan a small detour for the 30-minute journey from the airport can already gather some impressions of the most important Parisian landmarks on the outward journey. The luxury limousine winds almost silently through the streets of the French capital, circles around the Arc de Triomphe shortly before arriving and then drops us off in the heart of the XVITH arondissement. It’s not for nothing that the exclusive “Chaillot” district is affectionately known as the Upper East Side of Paris. In addition to the conglomeration of sights, it is the picturesque buildings, the charming cafés and the elegant luxury boutiques that contribute to experiencing Paris at its very best. All these superlatives combined can also be expected from “The Peninsula Paris,” the actual destination of our trip and already reason enough to pay a visit to the French capital. The hotel sits in a 19th century classic
Haussmann-style building, which was built by art collector Alexander Petrovich Basilewski and now houses 200 rooms and suites.

Even the lobby impresses with its grandeur, which is also continued in the suites. Particularly praiseworthy is the “Rooftop Garden Suite”, which has been lovingly restored to its original state. The classic elegance is broken up by bronze and aluminium sculptures by Nathalie Decoster and paintings by the artist Deçan, which provide a modern touch. But the Duplex is not just about the

Relaxation and indulgence
It may come as no surprise that the wellness area also meets all requirements, as “The Peninsula Spa” is the largest hotel spa in the entire city. An oasis of calm in the city, the Spa offers private treatment rooms, VIP couples’ suites, an indoor heated 20-metre swimming pool with underwater music unique experience, as well as a state-of-theart fitness centre. A little exercise can’t hurt to ease your conscience, as “L’oiseau Blanc,” a Michelin award-winning restaurant, is right on the premises. Using seasonal products, chef David Bizet has created dishes with audacious and harmonious flavours, combining the finest products with more simple ingredients. In front of the Eiffel Tower, the experience should be memorable.
