METROPOLE - Vienna in English - - PUBLISHER'S LETTER -

A new year means new ideas! Thanks to ample feedback from our fantastic readership, our editorial team and art director Karin Dreher gave the magazine a makeover.

A new design and a rethinking of the departments mean giving you more of what you love. Let us know what you think!

To celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the beautiful Republic of Austria, we have partnered with media outlets in the nine countries that gained independence after the dissolution of the Austro-hungarian Empire. Over the next nine issues we will be gathering stories, interviews, video content and travel recommendations from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. It’s the first cooperation of its kind in Europe and we’re excited and honored to work with so many motivated media makers.

Since our user data never lies, we won't either. We know our readers love movies and TV shows. Since most of you don't watch Austrian television, we have created a new section just for your on-the-couch needs. Every issue we'll choose our top 10 of the best new television and movies available to stream in Austria. It probably goes without saying, but researching this page is so much fun and discussing the picks is its own special kind of team building. You tend to learn a lot about each other. We'd love to hear what you think of our choices. Have we helped you discover a new obsession?
