Dear Ken
I keep hearing people say that you have to build good relationships in business. What is the best way of doing that?

Dear Marie
Good relationships are usually based on shared experiences and interests, and they are built gradually. But you can start the process off by taking the time to find out from your business partners some of the following facts:
Do you have any interests in common? Do you have any places in common? Do you have any holiday experiences in common?
Do you have any friends or acquaintances in common?
Do you have any strong likes or dislikes in common?
In coffee breaks or at lunch, volunteer some information about yourself, and listen to your business partner’s reaction. Ask some general open questions. Gradually you will begin to find common areas of interest on which you can build a stronger personal relationship.
Regards
Ken
