A recipe [(re­sepi] is a set of in­struc­tions that tells you how to cook some­thing and which in­gre­di­ents you need to make it.

Scales (or “a pair of scales”) are an in­stru­ment for weigh­ing peo­ple or things. In the UK the word “scales” is usu­ally used in the plu­ral form.

When some­thing has been placed where it will be no­ticed and used, you can say some­one put it out.

A metal con­tainer in which pies are baked is called a pie tin.

If you are all set, you are ready to go some­where or do some­thing that has al­ready been ar­ranged or de­cided.
