What did they say?

-

We form the present perfect continuous with “have” / “has” + “been” + “-ing” form of the main verb. We use this tense to talk about an activity that started in the past and is still going on now. How long has he been living in the bus?

He’s been living in the bus for days. Things have been going missing for days.

We also use this tense for an activity that has recently finished or just finished, but that has a connection with the present:

Somebody’s been using my towel! And it’s all wet.

This boy has been sleeping in my bed, and he’s still here. Exercise 1
