Sabine is asking her friend Rachel about the situation in the UK.
Sabine:
How are things in the UK? I read in the newspapers here that your supermarkets are almost empty.
No, they’re not empty. It was scary when everyone was
but things have calmed down. Supermarkets have
to make sure shoppers stay two metres apart and that there are only a small number of people in the shop
Sabine: at one time. They even have early-morning shopping
for the elderly, and customers are limited to buying only three items of certain products.
That’s good. Are there fewer shortages now?
Certain shelves are never anywhere near full. You still can’t buy or disinfectant
