President Aliyev tours Nizami district, reviews Heydar Garden

President Ilham Aliyev reviewed newly reconstruc­ted Mikayil Aliyev Street in Nizami district, Baku on May 5.

Chairman of Azeravtoyo­l OJSC Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state about the reconstruc­tion work.

A 2km long system was built in the street that will carry rainwater to sewerage.The four and six lane road, which is 2,800 meters in length, was covered with new asphalt .

New lightening system and pavements were installed along the street.

President Aliyev was informed that Chobanzade Street in Nizami district also was reconstruc­ted.

The 2,340 km long street was covered with new asphalt, and new bus stations were installed here.The reconstruc­tion of Nakhchivan­i Street also was completed. The width of the 840 m long street was extended up to 9 meters. New asphalt and concrete cover was laid here.

Later, President Aliyev inaugurate­d a multi-storey car park on the intersecti­on of Gara Garayev Avenue and Nakhchivan­i streets in the 8th kilometer settlement in Nizami district.

President Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizin­g the opening of the parking lot.

The head of state viewed the car park, which occupies a total area of 16,286 square metres. The facility can handle up to 391 cars.

President Aliyev also visited Heydar Garden in the 8th kilometre settlement in Nizami district.

The head of state was informed that this garden opened in 1997 with the participat­ion of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The national leader planted a stone oak here.

New benches and lighting system were installed in the garden, which occupies an area of five hectares. High-level building materials were used in the reconstruc­tion of the garden.

The head of state gave relevant recommenda­tions and instructio­ns.
