Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship wraps up
About 117 gymnasts representing Baku Gymnastics School, Ojag Sport and AyUlduz clubs, Sports Olympic Center Sarhadchi, Republican Complex Sports School, Zirva Sports Club, including cities of Gusar and Ganja participated to the Championships.
On the last day of the competition gymnasts of 13-15 years of age competed. In compositions with a hoop the entire podium was took by the representatives of the club "Ojag Sport". So, the first place was won by Elizabeth Luzan (17,200), the second place by Narmina Samadova (17,000), and the third place by Arzu Jalilova (14,950).
"I am happy with my result, but I'd like to do better. I was a little worried, I wasn't quite confident, but I was able to overcome myself. The support was also very helpful, I am very pleased that the audience was actively cheering for us,” said Elizabeth, "Ojag Sport" club's gymnast.
The representatives of the club "Ojag Sport" also distinguished themselves by the composition with the ball. So, first place was ranked by Arzu Jalilova (17,650), second place by Elizabeth Luzan (17,450), and the third place by Narmina Samadova (17,150).
In the compositions with clubs the first two places were taken by Narmina (17,250) and Arzu (16,650), and the third place was taken by the representative of the Baku school of gymnastics Daria Farshbashsharyriari (15,700).
In compositions with a tape again all three places were captured by representatives of club "Ojag Sport" by Narmina (15,150), second place by Elizabeth (15,100), and the third place by Arzu (15,000).
In the first day of Championship 8-10 years old gymnasts performed.
Among 10-year-old gymnasts, Narmina Bayramova, representative of the Ojag Sport Club, ranked first, Leyli Ismayilova from the Baku Gymnastics School ranked second and Tahira Taghiyeva, another representative of the Ojag Sport Club, ranked third.
Among 9-year-old gymnasts, representatives of the Ojag Sport Club, namely, Govkhar Ibrahimova won a first place, the second place went to Sofiya Mammadova, while the third place to Maryam Aliyeva.
Among eight-year-old gymnasts, the representatives of the Ojag Sport Club Ilaha Bakhadirova ranked first, Shams Muvaffagi ranked second, while Nazrin Salmanli ranked third.
