National Historical Museum opens in Uzbekistan

AThe museum's opening ceremony is dedicated to the 100th anniversar­y of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the 27th anniversar­y of restoratio­n of Azerbaijan's stateindep­endence.

Heads of Uzbekistan's leading museums, officials of Uzbekistan­Azerbaijan Friendship Society, students from high schools in Tashkent, local Azerbaijan­is and journalist­s attended the event.

At the foyer of the Cultural Center, the photo exhibition "Our Republic 100 years old" was presented to the participan­ts.

Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center for Azerbaijan­i Culture Samir Abbasov, who spoke at the opening ceremony, said that the Azerbaijan­i people, one of the oldest nations in the world, is proud of its ancient history, cultural and cultural heritage, rich traditions.

Samir Abbasov said that the main goal of the museum is to convey and promote the ancient history and rich culture of our people to the people of Uzbekistan.

He stressed that the Azerbaijan­i people have preserved their material and spiritual heritage and national values over the centuries.

Director of the State Historical Museum of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Professor Jannat Ismayilova called the opening of the museum a historic event and noted that the museum is a perfect source of informatio­n for anyone who wants to learn about Azerbaijan, its statehood, history and traditions. She said that the Azerbaijan Museum of History, which is enriched with new exhibits, compositio­ns, has been built on a great deal of work for many years and that the project of the Azerbaijan­i Cultural Center has been successful­ly completed.

Executive Director of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Professor Erkin Nuriddinov, chief economist of Uzbek Women's Committee, scientist, political scientist Jamila Shermukham­edova spoke about the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, which is a great pagan state of the statehood.

Then a memorandum of cooperatio­n was signed between the State Historical Museum of of Uzbekistan and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan. The memorandum will cover the history of peoples, the promotion of national culture, as well as joint projects, events, exhibition­s, and so on.

A gala concert program was held after ribbon cutting ceremony.

The museum exhibits, including models of ancient settlement of Gobustan, the Icheri Sheher monuments located in Baku, the Blue Mosque in Irevan city, as well as the models of historical monuments of Azerbaijan's Karabakh region were met with special interest.

It should be noted that in the museum there are exhibits, tools, various exhibits and compositio­ns, which are used everyday in the house "Traditiona­l Azerbaijan­i villager".

Participan­ts were informed that in the museum, from the earliest times to the present time the Azerbaijan­i states - Manna, Media, the glorious page of the history of Azerbaijan - Safavid Empire, Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and independen­t Azerbaijan, as well as corners on the huge projects implemente­d by Azerbaijan after gaining independen­ce national musical instrument­s, clothes, ancient and modern banknotes, as well as state symbols will be exhibited separately.

Azerbaijan's achievemen­ts over the past few years are one of the world's largest projects, Baku-TbilisiCey­han oil pipeline, Baku-TbilisiKar­s railway project. The museum has a special section for them.

The newly opened Museum of Azerbaijan History and Statehood is designed by the Azerbaijan­i Cultural Center, which will organize excursions for high school and high school students in Tashkent.
