"Further expansion of the terminal’s capacity will depend on the volume of transported products," said SOCAR.

Kulevi oil terminal and port are located in the Georgian region of Khobi, on the Black Sea coast. The terminal was purchased by SOCAR in 2006 and was commissioned in 2008. Kulevi Oil Terminal is designated for reception, storage and loading of oil and oil products.

The Kulevi oil terminal was named the best infrastructure terminal in 2011 according to the results of 2009 at the Award Ceremony organized by the Georgian Oil Products Producers, Consumers and Consumers Union.

The capacity of Kulevi is 10 million tons per year. The total capacity of the reservoir is 320,000 cubic meters and can be increased up to 380,000 cubic meters. There is a port and railway station at the enterprise, where it is possible to accommodate 180 wagons, waiting simultaneously for the discharge of the cargo.

The Kulevi oil terminal was represented at the 31st International Transport Fair in Athens, Greece this year.

The capacity of the port has increased over the past 10 years. Moreover, the share of reception, loading and discharging operations has increased and as a result, the port has received and dispatched more than 2,000 vessels. The port operates continuously throughout the year.
