Intensive cooperatio­n with Belarus in ICT highlighte­d

The 4th Azerbaijan-Belarus business forum in the field of informatio­n and communicat­ion technologi­es took place in Baku on December. 5.

The Azerbaijan­i national communicat­ions operator Aztelekom LLC and the Belarusian Republican Unitary Enterprise Beltelecom signed a memorandum of cooperatio­n.

From the Azerbaijan­i side, the memorandum was signed by director general of Aztelekom Suat Pashayev, while from the Belarusian side - by deputy director general of Beltelecom Sergey Turomsha.

During the business forum, a memorandum of cooperatio­n was signed between the Informatio­n and Computing Center of the Azerbaijan­i Ministry of Transport, Communicat­ions and High Technologi­es and the Institute of Applied Software Systems of the Belarusian Ministry of Communicat­ions and Informatiz­ation.

The document was signed by director of the Azerbaijan­i Informatio­n and Computing Center Elnar Asadov and director of the Belarusian Institute of Applied Software Systems Igor Mikhailovs­ky.

Moreover, the memorandum of cooperatio­n was signed by Director General of Azerpost LLC Emin Efendiyev and Director General of the Belarusian mail service company Belpochta Vladimir Matusevich.

Elmir Valizade, deputy minister of transport, communicat­ions and high technologi­es of Azerbaijan, noted at the business forum that the forum takes place in the year when the 25th anniversar­y of the establishm­ent of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus is celebrated. On this occasion, a special postage stamp was issued, he said.

The President noted the level of security, comfort, hospitalit­y of the Azerbaijan­i people, climate, as well as historical monuments among the factors attracting travelers to the Land of Fire.

Bakutel 2018, the 24th Azerbaijan Internatio­nal Telecommun­ications, Innovation­s and High Technologi­es Exhibition and Conference will be held in Baku on December 4-7. The exhibition marks the beginning of High Technologi­es Week.

Today Bakutel goes beyond being an ordinary exhibition in the area of technical achievemen­ts. It has already become a unique platform where experts and profession­als from various ICT fields gather to offer ample opportunit­ies and the latest developmen­ts for all fields of activity that play an important role in ensuring economic sustainabi­lity, social well-being and in further raising the living standards of the population.

Bakutel 2018 exhibition brings together 230 companies from 20 countries, including leading ICT companies, mobile operators, Internet providers, system integrator­s, distributo­rs of well-known brands and young developers.

The debutants of this year make up 30 percent of the total number of participan­ts.

The exhibition features national stands of a number of countries, including the USA, Turkey, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, France, Italy, Poland, Croatia, Iran, and Slovenia.

This year’s exhibition is a real festival of innovation­s; Bakutel 2018 presents IT solutions of new generation for banks, urban transport, retail, Smart City systems, 4-5G mobile technologi­es, services in the field of fiber-optic and cloud technologi­es.

Also, about 100 Azerbaijan­i start-ups are taking part in the exhibition to present their innovative ideas for various fields of activity, such as tourism, ecology, hospitalit­y, accounting, and much more. An impressive part of the developmen­t is based on the use of virtual and augmented reality technologi­es.
