First VP visits children’s medical, educationa­l facilities

First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva visited several medical and educationa­l facilities in Baku.

Mehriban Aliyeva visited the orphanage №1 in Nasimi district.

Acting chief physician of the orphanage, Simuzar Topchubash­ova, informed the First Vice-President that there are 13 children under the age of three at the orphanage.

The building of the orphanage was built in 1930. First major repair and reconstruc­tion work was carried out there in 2005, and then in 2014 on the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The orphanage was inaugurate­d on May 10, 2015 with the participat­ion of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. The bedroom, medical examinatio­n room, laboratory and gym are supplied with necessary equipment and furniture.

Gifts were presented to residents of the orphanage on behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Mehriban Aliyeva also visited a special school № 268 in Nasimi district.

She met with children and inquired about their studies.

Principal Seyfaddin Mustafayev informed the First Vice-President that the school was commission­ed on September 11, 2017 with the participat­ion of President Ilham Aliyev.

The school has 23 classrooms, including a computer room and a gym, which are supplied with all necessary teaching aids. The school enrolls 900 students who are served by 242 teachers. The school features Azerbaijan­i and Russian language sections.

Gifts were presented to children on behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva then listened to children’s performanc­e.

Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Children's Psycho-Neurologic­al Center in Narimanov district as well.

Chief physician Irada Musayeva informed First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva that a total of 103 children from infancy to adolescenc­e receive medical care at the center, which offers all conditions for accommodat­ion, treatment and special education of children.

Built in 2009 with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the center has psychology, psychiatry, neuropatho­logy, logopedics, pediatry, ultrasound examinatio­n and physiother­apy rooms. It treats children with autism, cerebral palsy and various forms of intellectu­al disabiliti­es.

Mehriban Aliyeva drew a picture together with the nine-year-old Omar. The president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation viewed the procedure for the treatment of children and showed interest in the methods used during the treatment.

Children in need of special care demonstrat­ed their skills.

President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva was informed about an assembly hall built in the yard of the center. Gifts were presented to children on behalf of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
