Yaver Asadov was born in Azer­bai­jan, Gabrail dis­trict in 1956. He left the State School of Arts named af­ter A.Az­imzadeh in 1975 and grad­u­ated from Azer­bai­jan State Univer­sity of Art and Cul­ture in 1980. He was the mem­ber of Jour­nal­ists Union of USSR and the mem­ber of the Union of Artists of USSR from 1981. He has worked as a chief painter in “Com­mu­nist” news­pa­per for long years. He founded “Zara­phat” (joke) satiric news­pa­per and he was chief- ed­i­tor of it in 2000- 2004. He took part and got awards in Re­pub­lic and for­eign ex­hi­bi­tions. He is the mem­ber of board in Azer­bai­jan Car­toon­ists’ Union from 2006. He is the mem­ber of Azer­bai­jan group in FECO ( FEd­er­a­tion of Car­toon­ists Or­gan­i­sa­tions). At present he teaches at the State Univer­sity.
