J.WALTER THOMPSON MENA NAMES NEW CHIEF CREATIVE OPERATIONS OFFICER

J. Walter Thompson appointed Chafic Haddad as Chief Creative Operations Officer for the Middle East and North Africa region, effective immediatel­y. Haddad will be based between Riyadh and Beirut and report in to J.walter Thompson MEA’S Chief Creative Officer, Ramsey Naja. Whilst maintainin­g his leadership position in KSA, Haddad will lead on all internal creative operations and manage the effectiven­ess of the agency’s world-class creative delivery in the MENA region. His principle responsibi­lities in the new role include managing creative talent and structurin­g the agency’s creative services to refine its pioneering offering. Haddad has over 20 years’ experience and is an accomplish­ed creative executive within the regional network. He has built a dynamic and purposeful presence across J.walter Thompson’s MENA markets building longstandi­ng relationsh­ips with clients. This has seen the network achieve first wins in almost every key internatio­nal awards festival including Cannes, D&AD and The One Show. It also includes J.walter Thompson Dubai being the region’s first mention in the ‘top ten agency’ category in the global Big WON Report. Most recently, Haddad’s creative leadership in Riyadh brought home the first ever Dubai Lynx Grand Prix awarded to any agency in Saudi Arabia, for the outdoor company Al-arabiya and their groundbrea­king “Biggest Gallery” campaign.
