Briefly describe the evolution of your blog.
When I first started this blog, I had no idea where it would take me. I’ve gone through many stages and crossed a lot of milestones that I'm very proud to have accomplished. My blog got me a job in the digital media and marketing industry in 2011. Blogging changed my life!
How did you first decide to launch?
I launched Joe's Box in July 2007. I just wanted a space to talk about everything that interested me: marketing, photography, social media and lifestyle.
What makes your content unique in your opinion?
Content is king and I guess mine is 'out of the BOX': light reading and fresh insights. I share my own photos/videos and unique point of view. It don’t just blend in with everyone else’s. Few months ago, I launched a new category: #Fashionbox, dedicated to men in Lebanon. We lack men’s fashion blogs (in fact there is no fashion blog solely dedicated for men in Lebanon) so I thought it would be a great idea to team up with fashion bloggers who guest post on my platform every Friday.
What motivates you to keep going with your blogging after all this time?
I LOVE BLOGGING!!! It gives me confidence... I am not Hemingway when it comes to writing, I do a lot of grammar mistakes, but my blog gave me the confidence to write and express my ideas. Blogging stirs my creativity. It is so easy to start a blog, but keeping your blog running is the hardest part. I can say that my blog keeps me searching for new, creative ideas. My blog taught me how to plan things correctly: whether to start a new business project, to launch a new product or even to plan a party… My blog is my place, a place where I can say whatever I want. I’m direct and I’m public. Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Pinterest, Instagram snapchat... These are cool, but my blog is HOME. Blogging has lead me to a lot of opportunities that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. I’ve woven a lot of connections, and it’s given me a way to showcase some of the work that I do. My blog got me a job and changed my life: It helped me find my passion.
