APPOINTMENTS
> Initiative, the global communications network within IPG Mediabrands appointed award-winning creative director Nick Childs as Global Chief Creative Officer. Childs joined the agency on September 1, and reports directly to Jim Elms, Global CEO of Initiative. Childs will be charged with overseeing creative story-building and trans-media content development for Initiative, which has offices in 73 markets and works with clients including Unilever, SAB Miller and BMW.
UM MENA has appointed Rodrigo Mavu as creative director for the MENA region. Mavu will be in charge of driving the creative and ideation process across the agency within the UM MENA client portfolio. Mavu holds over 15 years of experience in the advertising industry in Brazil and the UAE and has also been behind many award winning campaigns in the region.
> FCB Worldwide CEO Carter Murray announced the promotion of Erika Darmstaedter to chief client officer, FCB Worldwide. In the newly created role, Darmstaedter, who will continue to lead the global Beiersdorf account, will work with account management across the network to guide client strategy and ensure best practices are in place for the strongest possible client/agency relationships.
