The Arab Broad­cast­ing Land­scape, an Over­view


DISCOP Is­tan­bul, co-or­gan­ised by Ba­sic Lead and Globus Fairs, hosted 709 par­tic­i­pants at the In­ter­na­tional Con­ven­tion and Exhibition Cen­ter in Turkey early March.

The sixth edi­tion of the renowned con­tent devel­op­ment pro­duc­tion and dis­tri­bu­tion in­ter­na­tional gath­er­ing, drew 102 tele­vi­sion con­tent sales or­gan­i­sa­tions and 402 pro­gram­ming ex­ec­u­tives, who were on hand to ac­quire films, TV se­ries, adap­ta­tion rights and more. For this edi­tion, the or­gan­is­ers ex­panded the hu­man re­sources and on­site-match­mak­ing as­sis­tance to in­crease the num­ber of meet­ings among at­ten­dees.

“De­spite re­cent re­gional geopo­lit­i­cal ten­sions, this sixth edi­tion of DISCOP Is­tan­bul con­tin­ued to un­der­line the strong strate­gic role the mar­ket plays as a ma­jor hub for global tele­vi­sion busi­ness, as well as the vi­tal im­por­tance of the ex­pert, pro-ac­tive meet­ings or­gan­i­sa­tion of­fered by Ba­sic Lead dur­ing the event,” said Patrick Zu­chow­icki Ju­caud, the CEO of Ba­sic Lead.
