of all, I believe that Dubai is not the creative hub of the Middle East region, but one of the main creative hubs in the region along with Beirut and Cairo. What has made Dubai a main creative hub is the fact that most multinatio­nal and regional clients tend to have their regional headquarte­rs in Dubai. This has made Dubai a natural choice for agencies to set up their headquarte­rs there as well. Moreover, given the political and economic stability of the UAE and the attractive standard of living, Dubai has managed to attract some of the best global talents in the communicat­ion world. I think it is important for all of us to start pushing for award-winning work to be created in crucial markets like Saudi Arabia and in other important markets like Qatar and Kuwait.
