BLOM Bank - Peace of Mind Series

BLOM Bank introduces the first out of a series of four stories, dramatising the bank’s motto: “Peace of Mind.” Four Lebanese directors were invited to translate these words into film. In this first episode, Bosta’s director Philip Aractingy tells the story of Raja, who recently launched a risky paragliding business. It’s a feel-good testimonial told via look-good imaginary. Director of photography Marwan Ziadeh is clearly on a roll. Spectacular areal footage, pastoral landscapes and poetic contre-jour shots have a heartwarming, sun-kissed quality. Raja’s journey is also a beautiful declaration of love to Lebanon. These BBDO testimonials might not be award-winning, yet, in a country where everyday reality reminds us of all the forces that are trying to hold us down, Raja’s story proves that dreams and peace of mind are not a rare currency.
