2017 Cannes Lions: Winners in the unoriginal category

Eleven campaigns awarded or shortliste­d this year at the Cannes Lions festival of creativity were spotted by no other than the renowned copycat hunter Joe la Pompe, a celebrity in ad land feared by many. La Pompe delved into all Cannes Lions’ 2017 entries and identified the campaigns with most obvious similariti­es to other works and ideas previously done. In his opinion, these campaigns don’t deserve to be recognised at such a presitigio­us award show .... What’s your say ? Copycats, lack of creative culture or unfortunat­e coincidenc­e?
