MEGALOMENIA
An allegory is a representation of an abstract or spiritual meaning through concrete or material forms; figurative treatment of one subject under the guise of another. Animal Farm by George Orwell presents itself as an allegory. Orwell’s story is an intend satire on the Russian revolution since 1917, and it remains to be considered as such till this day. Orwell’s intention was to have a wider application so that this kind of revolution can only lead to a change of masters.
Chapter 2 was my choice to represent the seven commandments that were the basis of the animal’s revolution where it is believed that ‘All animals are equal.’ Other parts of different chapters will be taken into account to demonstrate the altering of those same commandments for the benefit of animals in power, showing how the primary revolution of ‘All animals are equal’ turned into ‘All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.’
This represented version of Animal Farm is adapted from the Russian constructivism movement that took place during the Russian revolution in 1917.
My version of Animal Farm will be titled as Megalomania. Megalomania, the obsession with the exercise of power, refers to the center concept that is reflected in depth in the content of the book.
