The hashtag #Dontcoveritup [Arabic: #latkhfi ta3nifak] spread on Instagram in support of women lifestyle magazine Zahrat Al Khaleej’s yearly campaign against domestic violence, as countless bloggers and influencers from Lebanon and the Arab region shared their pictures doing the stop hand gesture to raise awareness around the prevalence of the issue and encourage women to stand up against all forms of domestic violence and abuse, whether physical or emotional.
