Joe Fish Responds to Lebanon’s Black Friday Hype with Broke Saturday Post

Just like the last few years, the Lebanese market was swept by an uncontroll­able avalanche of ‘Black Friday’ offers and campaigns by retailers from almost every industry. The offers shamelessl­y unfolded all over social media and SMS messaging, ultimately picking on the nerves of a large majority of the population. Joe Fish cleverly responded to the hype with a post that read “Broke Saturday/mark it” using the agency’s signature colors and ever-present fish emblem. “Black Friday” they said… “Best deals of the year” they said… Why didn’t anybody tell us “get ready to spend your weekend at home” though?” the agency captioned the post.
