> Ooredoo Group’s operating company in Palestine, Wataniya Mobile, has officially launched its operations in Gaza. For many years, Ooredoo has sought to enter Gaza through Wataniya Mobile, a major investor in the Palestinian market. Wataniya Mobile will now be able to provide the residents of Gaza with an alternative option for advanced communications services directly through its shops and authorised dealers in the Strip. > Ericsson has signed an exclusive multiyear contract with FOX Networks Group Middle East to provide playout, media management and global distribution services for the three new HD channels FOX Crime, FOX Life and FOX Rewayat – launched last month and broadcast 24 hours a day from Ericsson’s broadcast and media services hub in Abu Dhabi. The new channels will join the growing portfolio of TV channels managed by Ericsson from its Abu Dhabi hub. This include seven FOX channels – FOX Movies, FOX, STAR Movies, STAR World, FOX Action Movies, FOX Family Movies, and FX.
