Les Affichages Pikasso celebrates the best OOH campaigns
Every year, the Pikasso d’or Competition recognizes and rewards the best work in Out-of-home advertising and creativity, for brands that have rolled out their campaigns on the Pikasso networks in Lebanon, Jordan, Irak, Algeria and Tunis. In Lebanon, the honorees were celebrated during the 25th Pikasso d’or Awards Ceremony in the presence and under the auspices of H.E. Judge Ziad Chebib, Governor of the City of Beirut, at Musichall, Beirut.
All winners were chosen by the Pikasso d’or International Grand Jury of eight leading creative and advertising professionals, with Alain Weill, an acknowledged Expert in contemporary art and advertising, as President of the Jury and Andrew Rawlins as General Secretary; Alain Rizk, CEO and Group CD at Rizk Group; Rachid El Khazen, General Manager at OMD Beirut ; Emile Atallah, Managing Director at FP7 / Mccann Beirut; Bassel Mneimneh, CEO at WB Algeria; Arwa Jassem, General Manager at Leo Burnett, Jordan and Hosni Ghariani, Managing Director at 3G/OMD Tunisia.
A Grand Prix was granted to the best work entered in the competition. It was chosen from the four Gold winners in the Networks, Supersize, Digital and Mall categories.
For the 25th edition of the Pikasso d’or, 246 visuals were presented by 27 agencies in Lebanon.
For Pikasso d’or 2017 Iraq, 25 posters (16 campaigns) were presented by 7 agencies.
For the Pikasso d’or Jordan, which was held in Amman at the Amman Rotana Hotel, 154 visuals (76 campaigns) were presented by 19 agencies based in Jordan.
Last but not least, the Lawhat d’or will be held in Algiers on Monday March 12th 2018 at the Sofitel Algiers Hamma Garden, and finally the Pikasso d’or in Tunis on Wednesday March 14th, 2018 at the Sheraton Tunis Hotel.
Winners were selected in the following categories: Best use of creativity in an Out-of-home campaign; Best use of Supersize format in Out-of-home campaign; Best use of Mall Advertising; Best use of Digital Out-of-home campaign; Grand Prix in Networks, Supersize, Digital and Mall categories; The Citizen Billposter Award – for the most effective campaign promoting a good cause, and billposter free of charge on the Pikasso networks as part of its ongoing CSR program.
