At first glance, this series looks like work of art. Engaging the viewer with quirky manipulati­on, it needs a look closer for the art direction to really sink in and allow the concept to shine. This campaign hones in on the pleasure of a Kitkat break. While the world around us is always on speed mode, it’s good to unplug, take a moment to enjoy a little pleasure—wherever, whenever— at the factory, metro station, office, and in the street, “break the speed.” Kitkat have had plenty of cool ads in the past, but this campaign is a world apart. The strong colour scheme and the deceptivel­y simple approach open up the viewer’s imaginatio­n and highlight the intensity of the Kitkat break. An absolute winner!
