> Re­gional cre­ative pow­er­house Memac Ogilvy has un­veiled its new Cairo of­fice as part of a ma­jor re­struc­ture in Egypt. The agency has moved house to Maadi, next to Tech­nol­ogy City. The change comes as part of Memac Ogilvy’s on­go­ing com­mit­ment to mod­ern­iz­ing its ser­vices in Egypt, and fol­lows the com­pany’s world­wide re-found­ing, re­cently an­nounced

> TBWA has en­tered into a re­gional pro­gram with Face­book that is set to roll out in Africa, Mid­dle East, Turkey, Cen­tral and Eastern Europe. The TBWA Face­book Foundry is a pro­gram fo­cused on in­spi­ra­tion, learn­ing and cre­ativ­ity. As part of this part­ner­ship, more than 1500 TBWA em­ploy­ees will ben­e­fit from a cus­tom-built Face­book Blue­print learn­ing ini­tia­tive, which com­bines online cour­ses, in-per­son train­ing and the op­tion for cer­ti­fi­ca­tion on Face­book and In­sta­gram cam­paign im­ple­men­ta­tion and mea­sure­ment.

> The Dubai-based agency, So­cial­ize, has been ac­quired by We Are So­cial. The move is We Are So­cial’s first ac­qui­si­tion, and ex­tends its net­work to the Mid­dle East and North Africa (MENA) for the first time. We Are So­cial will now have 11 of­fices across nine coun­tries, bring­ing its em­ployee count to over 700. So­cial­ize will con­tinue op­er­at­ing as an in­de­pen­dent brand un­der the lead­er­ship of Akanksha Goel, Founder and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor.

> Dentsu Aegis Net­work an­nounces the launch of new of­fice for Merkle MENA, a lead­ing tech­nol­ogy-en­abled, data-driven per­for­mance mar­ket­ing agency. In MENA, Merkle will be led by Rudy Ban­holzer, for­merly the man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of full-ser­vice so­cial media agency Your So­cial prior to its ac­qui­si­tion by Merkle in the EMEA re­gion. Your So­cial is be­ing re­branded to Merkle with Rudy’s re­mit now to grow the busi­ness’ ca­pa­bil­i­ties to help clients adopt peo­ple-based mar­ket­ing (PBM). PBM en­ables brands to iden­tify real peo­ple by lever­ag­ing the data be­hind them to cre­ate per­son­alised ex­pe­ri­ences - ul­ti­mately driv­ing cus­tomer loy­alty. > Ci­cero & Ber­nay Public Re­la­tions (C&B) has ex­panded into Egypt via a new strate­gic af­fil­i­a­tion with Ingredients — an in­de­pen­dent Cairo-based media and public re­la­tions agency that is also part of the Egyp­tian Media Syn­ergy. The an­nounce­ment fol­lows C&B’S re­cent move into Cyprus with Me­di­al­ife and is part of the agency’s on­go­ing plans to strengthen its net­work of com­mu­ni­ca­tion ex­perts across the MENA re­gion and beyond. By the end of 2018, C&B aims to have of­fices in 20 mar­kets across the MENA re­gion and beyond, giv­ing its clients un­ri­valled re­gional scope.
