NYF 2019 Ad­ver­tis­ing Awards Open for En­tries

New York Fes­ti­vals In­ter­na­tional Ad­ver­tis­ing Awards® is now ac­cept­ing en­tries for the 2019 com­pe­ti­tion.

New York Fes­ti­vals Ad­ver­tis­ing Awards charges out of the gate with new and im­proved cat­e­gories and the un­veil­ing of the NYF Ad­vi­sory Board, a world-class panel com­prised of some of the most prom­i­nent global agency lead­ers from around the world.

“…Stay­ing rel­e­vant and ben­e­fi­cial to the in­dus­try is cen­tral to our mis­sion and we al­ways strive to im­prove the ease of nav­i­ga­tion for our en­trants each year. Our com­mit­ment to re­flect, eval­u­ate and change led us to seek the guid­ance of sev­eral knowl­edge­able mem­bers of the in­dus­try and form our first Ad­vi­sory Board,” said newly-ap­pointed Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor Su­san Glass Ruse.

“It’s long been my be­lief that awards are in­cred­i­bly im­por­tant, in that they stim­u­late and sup­port great work. As a judge at the 2018 New York Fes­ti­vals, it be­came ob­vi­ous to me and many of the ju­rors that the judg­ing process, the en­try cri­te­ria, and even the show it­self, needed some up­dat­ing,” said Ad­vi­sory Board mem­ber Matt East­wood.

The trans­for­ma­tion of the com­pe­ti­tion in­cludes a 35% re­duc­tion of cat­e­gories re­sult­ing in a clear and mod­ern ros­ter. The re­vised and newly cre­ated cat­e­gories re­flect the cut­ting-edge work pro­duced to­day and rep­re­sent the full spec­trum of cre­ativ­ity in the world of ad­ver­tis­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions.

2019’s new cat­e­gory groups: Pos­i­tive World Im­pact, So­cial Me­dia & In­flu­encer, Artistry & Craft in Ad­ver­tis­ing, and Col­lab­o­ra­tions & Part­ner­ships pro­vide the op­por­tu­nity to honor break­through work in step with global trends and in­no­va­tions.

Based on in­put from NYF’S Ad­vi­sory Board, ad­di­tional new cat­e­gories in­clude: Dig­i­tal Trans­for­ma­tions, Brave Work/brave Client, and the New York City Award. New Em­pow­er­ment cat­e­gories were cre­ated for Women, LGBTQ and So­cial Jus­tice. Other strate­gic re­vi­sions in­clude the com­bin­ing and re­moval of cat­e­gory groups re­sult­ing in a more ef­fi­cient en­try process.

En­tries that come from over 50 coun­tries are judged by 400+ mem­bers of NYF’S Ex­ec­u­tive and Grand Juries who col­lec­tively cast their votes to se­lect the World’s Best Ad­ver­tis­ing. Dur­ing live judg­ing ses­sions in New York City, the 2019 Ex­ec­u­tive Jury, an elite panel of Chief Cre­ative Of­fi­cers, will choose the winners from the short­listed en­tries se­lected by the Grand Jury.

The dead­line to en­ter the 2019 New York Fes­ti­vals Ad­ver­tis­ing Awards is De­cem­ber 15, 2018.
