LEGENDARY MARVEL COMICS MASTERMIND #STANLEE DIES AT 95
Marvel fans and the twitter community flocked to the timeline to mourn the death of Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, who passed away on November 12 at 95 years of age in the Cedars-sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. And while many stars lead the tribute to Lee through heartfelt tweets, fans of his comics did not come short on emotional homages, remembering his major influence on the industry and the unforgettable characters he created/co-created throughout his career, including Spider-man, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, the Hulk, Black Panther, the X-men, Ant-man, Iron Man and Thor among others. The American comic book writer, editor and publisher originally started out as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics back when it was still a small division of a publishing house and has led its expansion into the multimedia corporation it is today as its subsequent publisher and chairman through pioneering a revolutionary approach to writing/creating superheroes in the 60s and 70s. But his influence did not end with retirement as he remained the company’s key figurehead well into his 90s, making regular cameos in recent movies based on Marvel characters, all while pursuing his own independent creative ventures.
