LEBANON CELEBRATES #WORLDMANKOUSHEHDAY THE EXTRA WAY

Lebanon celebrated #Worldmankoushehday on November 2 for the second year in a row in the most extra way as social media users took to Instagram to pay tribute to Lebanon’s most beloved breakfast by sharing countless pictures of their favorite mankousheh creations under the official hashtag. The occasion was initially created last year by popular Lebanese urban eatery Zaatar W Zeit alongside Lebanon’s top food blog Nogarlicnoonions to celebrate Lebanon and spread positivity in the community by distributing manoushes across the country. And this year was no different as Zaatar W Zeit stood by its mission, distributing “more than 9,000 mankousheh from Khaldeh to Batroun” as captioned on its official Instagram account. People got more and more excited as the day progressed and the casual occasion resulted in an online petition to officialize November 2 as an international #Worldmankoushehday, carrying our delicious heritage from Lebanon to the world.
