#FIGHTWITHMICHELLE CAMPAIGN REACHES HAPPY ENDING

-

Lebanese people joined forces throughout September to #Fightwithmichelle, in a nationwide fundraising campaign to help 24-year-old cancer fighter and former Miss Lebanon contestant Michele Hajal pursue her life-saving $750k treatment in the US following failed chemotherapy attempts to treat her difficult condition in Lebanon. Less than a month later, on October 16, Hajal announced that the target amount has been reached in an emotional Instagram post. “People are asking themselves how did we do it? How were we able to reach our target in less than one month? First, it’s definitely God’s will. I asked him to guide us to the right way if this is for my good. And this is what He did! If this wasn’t a miracle, then what was it!?” she wrote. “Second, I will be forever grateful for these people in my life. They worked hard to make this happen. They didn’t ask anything in return. They never failed to put a smile on my face. They showed me the meaning of true love and that angels still exist!” She then shared another post on October 23 to inform people of her departure to the US. “I am extremely proud to belong to this country and to this amazing community! I’m overwhelmed with your generosity, love & support,” part of her caption read. “Because of you, I am traveling tonight to @mdandersoncancercenter to start my curative treatment. Because of you, I will have the chance to live again.”
