THE contest

This year the 3rd edition of Arabad Poster Design Contest addressed the issue of Tolerance. Regional artists and designers were asked to add their own visual take on the idea of tolerance. There were over 160 submission­s from 90 participan­ts from across the Middle East- almost equally divided between design profession­als and students. We saw many submission­s from ad agencies with Leo Burnett having most entries with 13 submission­s from offices in Iraq, Jordan and Beirut, followed by Grey Group with 10 entries from Doha, Beirut, Dubai, and Riyad and Pimo agency with seven entries. Feer Mcqueen had three entries; Horizon FCB – Dubai, 2 entries. And for the rest, there was one entry coming from profession­als working in ad agencies. As for the students, they came from most universiti­es in Lebanon, namely USEK, AUST, USJ, AUB, LAU, Antonine and LIU.
