THE contest
This year the 3rd edition of Arabad Poster Design Contest addressed the issue of Tolerance. Regional artists and designers were asked to add their own visual take on the idea of tolerance. There were over 160 submissions from 90 participants from across the Middle East- almost equally divided between design professionals and students. We saw many submissions from ad agencies with Leo Burnett having most entries with 13 submissions from offices in Iraq, Jordan and Beirut, followed by Grey Group with 10 entries from Doha, Beirut, Dubai, and Riyad and Pimo agency with seven entries. Feer Mcqueen had three entries; Horizon FCB – Dubai, 2 entries. And for the rest, there was one entry coming from professionals working in ad agencies. As for the students, they came from most universities in Lebanon, namely USEK, AUST, USJ, AUB, LAU, Antonine and LIU.
