> Fol­low­ing an ex­ten­sive re­view process, Zain Group has ap­pointed OMD as their new strate­gic me­dia-buy­ing part­ner ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ately, mak­ing this its first telco ac­count win for OMD on a re­gional level. OMD has been given the me­dia port­fo­lio cov­er­ing Zain Group and its mo­bile op­er­a­tions in Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Jor­dan and KSA. > J. Wal­ter Thomp­son was cho­sen by Zain Kuwait as its cre­ative and com­mu­ni­ca­tion part­ner, af­ter fi­nal­iz­ing its pitch process ini­ti­ated in Q3 of 2018.

> Fol­low­ing a four-way com­pet­i­tive pitch, Mcdon­ald’s Egypt has de­cided to award its dig­i­tal and so­cial me­dia ac­count to OMD Egypt. The Om­ni­com Me­dia Group Mena-owned busi­ness per­for­mance com­pany took over from the in­cum­bent, Dig­i­tal Repub­lic, in Jan­uary. This is the first time Mcdon­ald’s will work with OMD in Egypt.
