NASRALLAH IMAGE SPOTTED IN #HM AD SENDS LEBANESE TWITTER INTO FRENZY

-

An H&M Man ad featuring a man in a tailored suit holding a newspaper with an image of Hezbollah Secretary-general Hassan Nasralla spotted on it send Twitter into full frenzy mode on March 30, as users were making jokes about the subject and debating its ‘accidental’ nature. The image appeared in a now-deleted tweet by H&M global and H&M Lebanon [@hmlebanon] with “How to do tailoring this season? With the right cut and well chosen accessories. #HMMAN” as a text. And while it is understandable to question the coincidental aspect of the incident, it is most probably believed to be the case, which brings to mind other visual accidents of the sort such as last year’s Vanity Fair Hollywood issue cover where Reese Witherspoon and Oprah appeared with extra limbs in one of the biggest large-scale photoshop fails of the decade.
