American makeup artist and Youtuber James Charles found himself in hot [or shall we say burning] waters in the weekend of May 10 following a video released by his former friend and fellow Youtube personality Tati Westbrook. Not only did the vide rack up over 28 million views to date but it also went viral on Twitter as people took to the platform to comment on the incident, including singer Zara Larsson who hinted that Charles tried to hit on her boyfriend while knowing that he’s straight. Things escalated quickly as many celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Shawn Mendes reportedly unfollowed the young Youtuber, whose subscriber count dropped by over a million in the aftermath of the incident! He went on to publish an apology video in response to the hype where he apologizes repeatedly to cosmetics guru and former mentor Westbrook.
