LG taps into Shops and Rewards app
Android-based app underpins points-based social media drive
UAE LG is using Shops and Rewards, an Android-based app, in a social media competition to support its G2 smartphone, which was launched in the UAE through du. Consumers can win points by sharing their thoughts about the brand via social media platforms.
Once registered, users must select LG as one of their favourite brands. Fans need to select ‘What’s Trending’ to receive the most up-to-date ads from companies, thus marking themselves as its brand ambassadors.
Points can be earned by sharing LG’s messages by hitting ‘like’ on any of its posts in the app. This will automatically post an image on their Facebook wall, stating that they have earned points.
