Country likely to witness rain in some areas

- BY A STAFF REPORTER

ABU DHABI: The National Centre of Meteorology and Seisomology (NCMS) has predicted that various parts of the country may receive rain and temperatures are likely to drop in the forthcoming days.

In a statement issued by the centre on Friday, it was indicated that up to Tuesday, clouds will continue towering over various parts of the country with high chances of rain and a decrease in the temperatures. The winds will be active in general, stirring dust and sand, while fog may form across the inland areas, the NCMS added.

The clouds will gradually decrease, starting from Saturday. The weather will become partly cloudy and sometimes dusty with another drop in temperature. The wind will be northerly and northwesterly over most areas, moderate to active and occasionally strong on the sea.

The clouds will gradually decrease, starting from Saturday. The weather will become partly cloudy and sometimes dusty with another drop in temperature. The wind will be northerly and northwesterly over most areas, moderate to active and occasionally strong on the sea. Dust and dirt will spread over open areas.

The sea in the Arabian Gulf will occasionally oscillate between rough and gentle. The sea will become more gentle in the evening and night of Sunday. On the other hand, the Sea of Oman will be rough on Saturday, according to the statement.

The weather forecast for Monday and Tuesday will be humid at night and morning, with a possibility of fog formation in some areas, especially the inland ones. It is expected to be partly cloudy during the day, and occasionally dusty along the open areas. The wind will be easterly to northeasterly over the northern and eastern parts, to turn northwesterly in general on Tuesday. Moderate to active, and strong at times on the sea. The latter is expected to be moderate to rough from Monday night and Tuesday morning in the Arabian Gulf and mild to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

The centre called on drivers to exercise caution, reduce speed and leave enough distance between vehicles due to wind, dust, and rain, which are likely in different parts of the country.
