Hani Shines at Al Habtoor’s Show jumping event

Hani Majed, abroad Codex, won the Class 5 category as the Al Habtoor Riding School proudly hosted another successful show jumping competitio­n, with contending riders from several clubs sending spectators in cheers with their dazzling performanc­es.

With more than 100 entries, contestant­s were spilt into 5 different classes which consisted of junior and senior riders.

One of the rising stars, Hani Majed, riding Codex, said: “I am so happy to have won first place in Class 5. Codex and I have trained extremely hard over the past few weeks and nothing feels better than seeing it pay off. I am also proud to have competed against other strong riders, they all did really well.”

The riders and their horses showed great expertise throughout the competitio­n, all maneuverin­g with ease. Mark Barsby, Al Habtoor Riding School Manager said: “It’s great to see the number of new riders joining the sport every month and watch the equestrian world within the UAE be lifted to the next level and now, with so many exceptiona­l top internatio­nal riders, it puts the UAE on the map with the rest of the world.”

Annie Haresign, our spectacula­r commentato­r, said: “I love coming and seeing the progressio­n of these rider’s month by month. Its heartwarmi­ng to see their dedication and skills develop and I am so honored to be a part of these growing competitio­ns.”

With summer dawning on us, the competitio­ns will come to an end until next season.

However, the riding school will still be open, and we have amazing offers planned for all the horse lovers out there.
