ERC provides food aid in Yemen
HADRAMAUT: A humanitarian convoy of various food items was deployed today by the Emirates Red Crescent,erc, in Ghayl Bin Yamin District, in Hadramaut as part of the comprehensive relief surge plan being carried out by the UAE across the governorate and in other Yemeni territories.
THE Convoy targets up to 5,000 YEMENIS to ease their suffering and help them survive the current circumstances, said Mohamed Obaid Al Shamsi, ERC representative In HADRAMAUT, who REAFIRMED the determination of the organisation’s teams to continue their efforts and stand by the locals despite all challenges.
For his part, Saleh Mole Al Dweilah, Director-general of the District, expressed sincere appreciation to the country’s premier humanitarian aid arm and the efforts made by the relief teams across the liberated governorates.
The ERC sent a humanitarian relief convoy to a number of villages in Al Mallah District in Lahej Governorate.
Anis Mohammed Nasser, Director General of Al Mallah District welcomed the visiting ERC team and extended thanks for their efforts to provide assistance to the population in remote areas.
BENEICIARIES EXTENDED thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its humanitarian arm for providing help in the framework of the Emirati giving approach. They also said that ERC is THE irst Humanitarian organisation that has reached to these areas.
THEE RC HAS OPENED THE ‘25 SEPTEMBER School’ in Taiz, which was rehabilitated after being subjected to bombardment by the Houthi militia.
Abelwase’ Shaddad, Director-general of THE EDUCATION OFICE In THE Governorate hailed the ERC’S supportive role for continuation of the educational process. He said the rehabilitated school has become a model of the schools that were given attention by the UAE philanthropic authority.
The ERC Representative said that that school Hosts 3,000 students As part of the projects of the Year of Zayed to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni families.
