Victory Team set to make a splash at Clearwater race

-

DUBAI: A conident Victory Team left all secure with the thought that they will do well enough to keep the blue lag lying at Super Boat International(sbi) race in clearwater, Florida, on Saturday.

The Victory Team charge across the Atlantic Ocean will be led by four top-class drivers in two boats during the weekend. In the first boat will be reigning Class One world champion Salem Al Adidi along with John Tomilson, while world champion Eisa Al Ali will line up along with Gary Ballough in the second blue boat.

Prior to their departure, the two pairs had been involved in extensive testing sessions off the team base in Jebel Ali for the past few weeks with the intention of carrying forward the challenge from a world champion set-up across the Atlantic.

“For our Victory Team this weekend’s race will be a true test from several viewpoints. We have been a successful team for more than three decades, and now is the time to see how we fare against the best in the business. It is like taking a step upwards while testing our talent against the rest of the world,” Huraiz Bin Huraiz, Chairman of Board of Directors at Victory Team narrated.

“This is a very first for our Victory Team and we have the confidence that we will return with strong results at the end of our Class One campaign in the US.” he stated.

Held for more than three decades now, the SBI Championship is considered one of the most challenging races for dual-engine powerboats. With the minimum of rules governing the race, spectators throng for some exciting action at this weekend’s final round of the national championship.

Termed the 10th Annual Hooters Clearwater Super Boat International Championship presented by Visit St Pete, Clearwater, the SBI Championship is the leading North American professional powerboat organisation for Class One powerboats founded by John Carbonell
