SORRY EQUALS ‘I DON’T CARE’

- Saleha Ambreen

SO How sorry ARE we For All those DyING In wars? Sorry Enough to step on THE war-zones AND Help them? Sorry Enough to pray For them until we CRIED?

Sorry Enough to Do Anything At All? Or Just sorry Enough to SIGH, AND move on to READ THE next ARTICLE on THE newspaper?

I know of this man, who Hurt HIS partner Almost Every DAY, ABUSED HER In All possible ways. But I must say; HE was ‘sorry’. THE next question you may want to Ask Is, ‘AND what DID HE Do About what HE was sorry?’ I mean, that would show IF HE really was Even ‘sorry’, IF It really mattered, IF HE really CARED.

I know of parents who ARE sorry For FORCING THEIR BELOVED CHILDREN Into marrying men/women, WHICH turned out to BE A Complete Disaster. THE question I thought was: how sorry were they? WHAT DID they Do About BEING ‘sorry’? DID they reverse THEIR DECISIONS?

AND then I Also know of someone who DIDN’T really Intend to Hurt another, what so ever; but did it unintentionally. he’d say he is helpless, he’d say his hands are tied. he says, “i don’t mean all this”. he says, “i am sorry to put you through this”. he said he was sorry. he also said he cared. cared enough to undo the ‘unintentional’ damage? cared enough to untie his hands?

There are people who may intentionally play with you and later apologise out of guilt. there will be some who may end up troubling you unintentionally, and are ‘sorry’.

The question is, were any of them sorry enough to make things better? if not, they don’t really care. sorry was just a ‘iller-word’ used, in order to respond to your crying questions.

Although, i do wonder of the sorry(s) i must have said to my parents. since they gave me a hundred more chances to ix things, i thought to myself that i too, should at least give one more chance to those who “sorry-ed” me.
