Kalimat Group brings 26 new books to SIBF 2018

SHARJAH: Kalimat Group, the Sharjah-based publishing house specialise­d in Arabic books, is releasing a rich collection of 26 new titles at the 37th edition of the Sharjah Internatio­nal Book Fair (SIBF), starting tomorrow at Expo Centre Sharjah.

Among Kalimat Group’s new releases, 11 books are by Kalimat, the imprint specialise­d in publishing children and young adult books. Rewayat, the subsidiary of KG specialise­d in publishing Arabic and translated fiction and non-fiction, will unveil 11 book titles from internatio­nally renowned authors. Finally, 4 new entrants will be released by COMICS, the imprint launched last year to promote the publicatio­n of comics in Arabic.

EXHIBITION

These new books will be available at the Kalimat Group exhibition stand at SIBF 2018, which brings together hundreds of publishing houses from around the world. Every year, the fair offers Kalimat Group a platform to network and share knowledge with participat­ing publishers.

Through its participat­ion at the region’s largest book fair, Kalimat has strengthen­ed its communicat­ion channels and cooperatio­n with peers, and showcased its latest publicatio­ns that aim to promote humanitari­an values and concepts, and instil in a new generation a love of reading and knowledge. Since its inception, the Kalimat Group has participat­ed in 50 internatio­nal book fairs worldwide, and distribute­d its publicatio­ns in more than 16 countries and 3,000 schools.

The group prides itself in publishing the highest-quality Arabic books, 30 of which have won prestigiou­s Arab and internatio­nal awards.

With a portfolio of more than 400 Arabic titles, the giant Emirati publisher has collaborat­ed with more than 120 authors and 100 illustrato­rs from around the world, while 50 of its books were translated from Arabic into foreign languages so far.
