Kerala offers membership package for tourists

Trivandrum:thestate-runkerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has unveiled premium life andinstitutionalmembershipsoffering seven nights of free stay in a year.

The network of hotels also offers substantial discounts on all its facilities, including its premium properties at hill stations and beachside getaways like Kovalam.

The fee for Premium Life membership is one million rupees and for institutional membership Rs 1.5 million, both inclusive of taxes, oficials said on Tuesday.

“We want to bring more visitors and position Kerala as a major destination for international conventions and meetings,” KTDC chair M. Vijaya Kumar said.

The life membership entitles for seven nights’ stay for two adults and two children below 12 on full board basis in all KTDC properties subject to availability.

Any extra room required during the visit will be available at a 40 per cent discount on room rent, food and beverages and Ayurvedic spas.

The member can also authorise any other guest to avail the complimentary stay for two adults and two kids below 12 in case they do not utilise the offer in a year.

In such cases, the member should intimate the KTDC in writing and rooms will be allotted, subject to availability, a statement said.

The members can dine with ten friends at a 40 per cent discount on food and beverages and a 20 per cent discount on alcoholic beverages.

For groups of more than ten, the premium life members will be eligible for a 20 per cent discount on food and alcoholic beverages.

They are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on room rent, in addition to the seven-night complimentary stay. Additional rooms will carry a 40 per cent discount on rent.

The convention facilities of KTDC comes at a 50 per cent discount on the occasion of the marriage of their children. This facility can be extended to two children of the member.

They will get a 10 per cent discount on convention centre rent for other functions and complimentary stay for children for two nights within six months of their marriage.

They can also use boardroom facility during their stays, besides free use of internet, business centre facilities, gymnasium and pool.

During their travel, they get free halts for short durations (less than four hours) at the wayside amenities of Tamarind Easy Hotels and Motels across Kerala.
