AMAZING SUCCESS

BOLLYWOOD sensation Salman Khan is not just the darling of millions of fans in India, but overseas as well. He is very popular here in the UAE, so I am very happy to hear that the capital is a home away from home for him (“Bollywood humdinger Salman Khan says Abu Dhabi is his second home,” Oct.30, The Gulf Today).

The evergreen bachelor with the ultra-sixpack creates an impact wherever he goes. He has the incredible and rare Midas touch; his movies strike gold at the box ofice. That he has

maintained a successful and universal appeal speaks volumes for his persona.

Salman just loves coming to the UAE, in particular Abu Dhabi. He spent more time in the UAE capital than in India over the past year. No wonder he says, “It certainly feels like a second home for me.”

He is one of the few Bollywood stars to have stayed the course for over 20 years. Two decades ago, his movie Maine Pyar Kiya set cash registers ringing at the box ofice.

He still continues to churn out hits, with movies such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3… the list is endless.

His new ilm ‘Bharat’ is the seventh major Indian movie to be shot in Abu Dhabi.
