Man gets 25 years for raping student

DUBAI: A man who ilmed HIMSELF raping an equestrian student will spend 25 years behind bars, the Criminal Court ruled on Wednesday.

The Arab employee, 24, sexually assaulted the Arab woman, 23, inside his house in the Dubai International City on June 4. HE went on to ilm THE attack using his mobile phone, prosecutors told the jury.

“No ,” he denied during court questioning.he earlier claimed they had con sensual affair after which she robbed his Dhs50,000 and he beat her. And that she decided to frame him into this rape case.

On the record, she said she was at a championship when he relentlessly contacted her. She later contacted him. He summoned her to help solve a problem between him and her male friend.

There, he told her he was the only one inside. She hesitated to enter. He carried her on his shoulder. She thought he was playing around. She asked him to put HER Down. HE took HER to THE irst loor.

He entered her in his bedroom. She asked about the problem he wanted her to solve. He pestered her for an affair. “I thought he was joking. We were in Ramadan,” she said. He maintained his stance.

She stood up trying to walk out. He slammed the door, hitting her nose with it. He locked it and hurled the key in the room. He insisted that since she refused a consensual tryst he was to use force.

He grabbed her neck and covered her mouth. SHE BIT HIS inger. HE BATTERED HER head. She fell unconscious. He rained kicks on her then got prepared. She kicked his HEAD. HE HIT HER HEAD AGAINST THE loor.

He pulled out his mobile phone, slapped HER then ABUSED HER WHILE ilming the abuse. She contacted police after leaving the house. “He had threatened to accuse me of theft in case I called the police.”

A lieutenant said the defendant claimed she usually came to his house to ind A solution to A problem BETWEEN him and her friend. Finally, they had an affair after which she robbed him and he beat her.
