‘UAE-PAK relations on right track’

DUBAI: The current government has been formalisin­g a comprehens­ive policy to beneit overseas Pakistanis and soon it will be launched. This was stated by Asad Qaiser, Speaker of the National Assembly, Pakistan during an interactio­n with the community at the Pakistan Consulate in Dubai.

He assured that the current government led by Imran Khan was working tirelessly to improve overall conditions in the country, from legislatio­n to create more job opportunit­ies and soon a package with more beneits would be launched to facilitate overseas Pakistanis.

The event was organised by the Embassy of Pakistan and Pakistan Consulate Dubai. It was also attended by Moazzam Ali Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador in the UAE, oficials from Abu Dhabi and Dubai missions and prominent community members from different segments. Representa­tives from community social centres including Pakistan Associatio­n Dubai and Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah, businessme­n and profession­als also attended the session.

“The Uae-pakistan relations are the strongest and with every passing day these will bear more fruit for both nations as both government­s are working on these lines,” he said. He assured the community that the government was devising an effective policy on the suggestion­s submitted by the overseas Pakistanis.

He also underlined the need for overseas investment in Pakistan and assured full support from the government as Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team were inviting foreign investment in the country to open more job opportunit­ies and improve the economy in the long term.

He further assured community members gathered at the Consulate that their pending issues like a few community schools, expansion of consulate building and such others would be resolved on a priority basis.
