SO FAR, YET SO CLOSE!

I ALWAYS wondered why people said that distance makes you fonder.

How ironic that to love someone wholeheartedly the distance plays such an important role.

I always told people around me, “how silly of them to think they can be far and still be in love? How can that work?” How silly of me!

It took me so many years to realise how wrong I was. You don’t grow out of love when you are away. In fact, you grow more in love when you are far.

When the distance comes between two people who love one another, it makes you think more about them, it makes you realise how important their presence in your life is and eventually without realising you fall more and more in love with the person because although the distance keeps you far, you are so close to them in terms of having them in your mind always and carrying them closer to your heart than ever before.

The void that you feel when your loved one is not in your arms reach is the most beautiful feeling ever. The feeling of wanting them in your life becomes even more clearer when they are apart.

I can’t stress on how important the distance is for the most beautiful love story experienced by man would be the love between him and his maker and does the distance between us and Him make us far?

I would say that’s the closest relationship one can ever have. The maker who is so far away from us physically is always close to our heart and our love for Him is so unconditional that though we are far from Him in distance, we close our eyes and we feel Him beside us.

Can it get any more beautiful than this? The overwhelming feeling of being so far, yet so close!
