Filipina wins UAE’S Best Nanny award

- STAFF REPORTER

DUBAI: A Filipina nanny has won the UAE Best Nanny Award 2018 on Friday. She received huge applause and about Dhs70,000 (1 million Philippine pesos) for her exceptional services.

The middle-aged Rosie Vargas Villa was down to tears when she was told that she had won the title.

The Rise team that organises the Nanny Award barged into the house where Rosie works.

An excited Rosie could not express her joy as she broke down in tears at the residence. She said, “It is amazing… all this…” as she thanked everyone.

The humble Rosie has been working in the UAE with over half a decade with the couple.

Rosie has been shortlisted over scores of nannies vying for the title.

Rosie sends most of her savings to her native country.

Rise on its Facebook page said, “Congratulations Rosie Villa on winning UAE’S Best Nanny Award 2018! “Thank you to all the nannies who participated in the competition. All your stories moved us and we have a surprise for all of you!” The Rise offers educational courses and inancial services for employers

and their employees.

THEIR OFICIAL WEB PAGE SAID, “WE offer courses for you and your nanny on a variety of topics taught by international and local experts.”

“Our mission is to help migrant workers get paid on time, send their money, and take courses to help them build their CV. In the summer of 2017, you will also be able to open a digital bank account for your employee, pay them electronically, and have a record of all your transactions including loans and paydays.
