Arab Family Organisation conducts mass wedding for 500 couples
SHARJAH: The Arab Family Organisation will be organising their first Arab mass wedding celebration at the Expo Centre Sharjah, in conjunction with the Year of Zayed.
The wedding will include 500 brides and grooms.
“The event is an exceptional one, in terms of the number of participants and the awareness programmes developed by the Arab Family Organisation. It aims to support the younger generation to start a happy married life, away from family differences.”, Chairman of the organisation, Jamal Obaid Al Bah, said.
Al Bah explained that the preparatory programme for the brides and grooms includes two specialised international seminars that talk about dealing with the Arab family issues and youth issues. It will talk about the role of institutions in supporting the newly established family, highlighting the role of parents in achieving family stability and the role of the society in educating and raising awareness, in addition to the role of the governments in providing programmes and activities, and prioritising and comforting the Arab family.
He praised that the success of the UAE and its leading role in the Arab world and globally through initiatives In THE ield of Development AND Construction. He also praised the role of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and his Wife Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi for extending bridges of communication with Arabs to promote the intellectual and cultural progress and for the care and support, in general especially for the Sharjah community.
