Arab Family Organisati­on conducts mass wedding for 500 couples

SHARJAH: The Arab Family Organisati­on will be organising their first Arab mass wedding celebratio­n at the Expo Centre Sharjah, in conjunctio­n with the Year of Zayed.

The wedding will include 500 brides and grooms.

“The event is an exceptiona­l one, in terms of the number of participan­ts and the awareness programmes developed by the Arab Family Organisati­on. It aims to support the younger generation to start a happy married life, away from family difference­s.”, Chairman of the organisati­on, Jamal Obaid Al Bah, said.

Al Bah explained that the preparator­y programme for the brides and grooms includes two specialise­d internatio­nal seminars that talk about dealing with the Arab family issues and youth issues. It will talk about the role of institutio­ns in supporting the newly establishe­d family, highlighti­ng the role of parents in achieving family stability and the role of the society in educating and raising awareness, in addition to the role of the government­s in providing programmes and activities, and prioritisi­ng and comforting the Arab family.

He praised that the success of the UAE and its leading role in the Arab world and globally through initiative­s In THE ield of Developmen­t AND Constructi­on. He also praised the role of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and his Wife Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi for extending bridges of communicat­ion with Arabs to promote the intellectu­al and cultural progress and for the care and support, in general especially for the Sharjah community.
