MBF signs pact on school
DUBAI: The entrepreneur and Chairman of MBF Group, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Faisal Al-qassimi, in the presence of Sheikha Rawdha Bint Al-maktoum Bin Rashid Almaktoum, has inked an agreement of cooperation with the representative of King’s Ely School to establish MBF King’s Ely School in Dubai. The location for the new school shall be in the southern side – next to Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Al-qassimi revealed that the group leads its foray in the investment education in the UAE and this shall become the third sector besides property and health sectors. He stressed that MBF seeks to enhance and support a high quality delivery of education based on the best educational curriculum.
Al-qassimi indicated that the MBF
shall keep pace with continuously enhancing more investments in the education sector in the UAE and that shall shortly be seen. In particular, there are a series of on-going projects under study and among all these options the strategic ones will be taken into consideration.
He assured that MBF has opted to enter into a partnership with King’s Ely School, explaining that our partner is one of the oldest schools in the world. Its history anciently refers back to 970 AD as the school was founded in the cathedral city of Ely, Combridgeshire in England.
He said that the school is expected to accommodate a total capacity of 1,870 students, including primary, secondary and sixth standard groups. The school shall also involve fullfledged sports facilities with aim of encouraging sportsmanship excellence
in this regard besides availability of an innovation centre to foster skills and a studio theatre for activities practice. He explained that the project shall be executed in two phases on a total plot space of 26,415m2 and shall serve the community of Jumeirah Gold Estates. He revealed that the vision behind the school project is to provide and avail an innovative and nurturing environment that may serve to encourage, motivate and support students and pupils and aspire them to become the best possible versions of entities and generations useful to the community.
Al-qassimi concluded that the project is expected to launch in 2020 with the intention to redefine the delivery of quality education across the Middle East region. Construction is scheduled to commence in the 1st quarter of 2019 and end in the 3rd quarter of 2020, he added.
